Bringing together environmental and community service initiatives, Mountain Outfitters has provided an arena for outdoor society to gather while supplying outdoor men and women of all interests and experience levels outstanding equipment and apparel from the most respected brands. If you love camping, hiking, climbing, trail running, skiing, adventure racing, biking, caving, backpacking, or any other outdoor sport, you’ve come to the right place! We proudly sell products from Patagonia, J. Barbour and Sons, Filson, Vuori, Peter Millar, Hoka, Keen, Merrell, Chaco, Salomon, L.L.Bean, Sitka, Oboz, Free People, and many more.

Our original store is located in Monteagle, Tennessee near the Cumberland State Park and Recreation Center, the University of the South, the Mountain Goat Trail, Fiery Gizzard, Stone Door, Foster Falls, Fall Creek Falls, Franklin Forest, and hundreds of thousands of acres of beautiful wilderness rife with trails, caves, waterfalls, overlooks, and wildlife. We also recently opened our second location in Chattanooga, Tennessee near Lookout Mountain, Erlanger Park, Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain Battlefield, Chattanooga Zoo, the Incline Railway, the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, and many more attractions. Chattanooga has several museums, fun shops, dining options, and more to keep you busy. There are plenty of options for outdoor life, nightlife, family fun, or solo trips.

We believe that every single one of us walks our own path. We believe that every single one of us can climb our own mountain. Our journey can take us 12,000 feet above sea level, or just the 30 feet from our front door to the mailbox. We're not all elite athletes - we know what it's like to struggle on the trail. We are grinders, just like you. And even though we might not always achieve greatness, we are always grateful. On top of that, we are really good listeners.
